WWF stand up to Shell over false advertising claims. Our campaign with WWF and Kitcatt Nohr Alexander Shaw, which challenged Shell’s claims that the company’s Canadian oil sand extraction operation was sustainable, stopped people in their tracks at Waterloo station. The ASA upheld WWF UK’s complaint, getting Shell’s ad in the FT banned as ‘greenwash’. The victory was celebrated by WWF at Waterloo, with the ad stating ‘Shell can't hide the environmental impact of their oil sand projects".
